As a young adult, I noticed that my endurance to physical exercise was severely diminished due to my smoking habits. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried using an electronic cigarette. Few months after I completely made the transition, the difference on how much I could run or do physical exercise was more than noticeable.
As the years passed, I decided to keep using ecigarettes as a hobby, eventually becoming my job as well.
Over the years, it has been clear to me that this is the most effective method to stop smoking. The more customers I interacted with, the more stories I heard of how useless the nicotine patches, gum, etc were in terms of helping them quit, while the little licorice tasting ecigarette did it's job flawlessly.
Banning flavors will not protect children, that is just an excuse. Studies done by the British government and other European countries have shown that vaping among youth is NOT as common as it is exagerrated on tv. From my personal work experience, I can confirm the same thing. The vast majority of our customers are 40+ years old, while the ones in their early 20s are a minority in general in terms of purchasing and usage of ecigarettes. That would be without even mentioning the part that selling to underage is already prohibited by law.
This law, to ban flavors , will NOT protect the children from this imaginary threat. All it will do is close businesses in Denmark and make the danish population spend their money outside this country, as they will be forced to import their flavors privately.
Democracy (Greek: δημοκρατία dēmokratía, literally "rule by people") is a form of government in which the people have the authority to choose their governing legislation. Who people are and how authority is shared among them are core issues for democratic development and constitution. Some cornerstones of these issues are freedom of assembly and speech, inclusiveness and equality, membership, consent, voting, right to life and minority rights.
We, the people, do NOT want this flavor ban.
